Pakistan wins first T20 match against Zimbabwe

Pakistan returned to international cricket with a bang by defeating visiting Zimbabwe with a comfortable 5 wickets win with three balls to spare. The match was played six years after attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009. The first match in last six years was played in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore to a packed crowd of 27000.

Zimbabwe played first and scored 176 runs in the allotted 20 years at the loss of six wickets. Captain Elton Chigumbura scored 54 off 34 balls. Pakistan opening batsman Mukhtar Ahmed scored 83 off 45 balls hitting 12 fours and three sixes.

Zimbabwe will be playing two T20s and three one day internationals. Second T20 will be played at the same venue on Sunday.
