Zimbabwe trumps Pakistan for a rare win

Zimbabwe cricket team restored some of their pride by beating Pakistan by 7 wickets in the ODI in Harare today. Pakistan batted first and scored 244 runs in 50 overs. Captain Misbahul Haq scored 83 runs and Muhammad Hafeez 70 runs. Zimbabwe bowling was led by Chatara 2 wickets for 32 runs.

Zimbabwe innings started with half centuries by openers which was later strengthened by unbeaten 43 by Captain Brendan Taylor. Zimbabwe cross the hurdle of 244 runs in 48.2 overs at the cost of 3 wickets. H. Masakadza scored 85, Sibanda 54 were the lead scorers.

Zimbabwe lead the one day series 1-0. This is the first time in 15 years that Zimbabwe win a match from Pakistan.
