Services of Salman Akbar recalled for Hockey Tournament

Salman Akbar is a veteran of over 200 games and has played in the capacity of vigilant goalkeeper of Pakistan Hockey Team.  On Thursday August 15, 2013 the services of Goal Keeper Salman Akbar has been recalled for Asia Cup Hockey Tournament which is scheduled to be played in next week in Malaysia, which will represent last chance to qualify for the World Cup 2014.

Salman Akbar was a part of the gold medal winning team at the Asian Games in Guangzhou China and in 2010 Asian games he has rewarded as a best goal keeper in the tournament Beijing, China but last year he was discarded from Pakistan Hockey Team. Squad consisting of the following players is ready to play:-

Mohammad Imran (captain), Imran Butt, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan Junior, Mohammad Tauseeq, Waseem Ahmed, Salman Akbar (Goal Keeper), Rashid Mahmood, Fareed Ahmed, Aamir Shahzad, Waqas Sharif, Shafqat Rasool, Abdul Haseem Khan, Shakil Abassi, Ali Shan, Mohammad Umar Bhutta, Mohammad Dilber, Mohammad Zubair.
