Pakistan women cricket team beat Ireland to qualify for Women T20 world cup

Pakistan women cricket team clinched a convincing win by 9 wickets against Ireland to qualify for the cricket T20 world cup to be played in Bangladesh. In the semi final of the qualifying tournament, Pakistan won the toss and chose to field. The opening pair of Ireland was quickly disposed off when Nahida Khan claimed a run out of opener Shillington for 5. One down Garth put up a good fight by scoring 38 of 56 balls with two fours. Rest of the team was all out for fewer than 5 runs each. Sadia Yousuf led the bowling charge from Pakistan with figures of four wickets for 9 runs. She got full support from all other bowlers to restrict Ireland to 65 all out in 19.5 overs giving Pakistan an easy target to chase.

Pakistan had a good opening start with Nahida Khan 13 in 18 balls and Javeria Khan 34 in 39 balls with one four. Pakistan achieved the target of 66 runs at the cost of 1 wicket in just 14.1 overs. Sadia Yousuf was declared player of the match.
