Majority of Pakistanis favor Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline

In a social media survey getPakistan has learned that majority of Pakistanis prefer implementation of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project to ease the energy crunch faced by the nation. Over 80% of those polled opined that they favor fast track implementation of the project while 20% suggested that economic feasibility should decide the fate of this approach.

When people were asked whether they feel it is appropriate for US and Saudi pressure to abandon the project. Over 75% responded that Pakistan should make decisions based on their own needs rather than allowing foreign powers to interfere in its decision making process.

Pakistan is an energy deficit country and imports most of the fossil fuels for its domestic use.
