IMF delegation will be visiting Pakistan this month

According to the sources in Ministry of Finance a 10 member delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be visiting Pakistan on June 19th. The delegation will be headed by Mr. Jeffry Frank.

According to the Ministry of Finance total size of IMF loan to Pakistan is US dollars 7060 million. In the current fiscal year ending June 31st, 2013 a total of $2.9 billion has been paid to IMF while in the next fiscal year 3 billion will be paid. The Ministry said that Pakistan is seeking assistance to the tune of 3-5 billion dollars.

Ministry of Finance also stated that IMF conditions to raise fuel tariff will not be accepted by the government.
