CM Sindh presents Sindh budget

Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah presented the budget for the fiscal year 2013-14. In his budget speech he said that the tax system is not efficient and the tax net has to increased to achieve the fiscal target agreed in the NFC award. He said that 150000 new jobs will be created in the next fiscal year.

Rs.48.63 are allocated for law & order, health gets Rs. 21 billion while Rs. 17 billion are allocated for energy sector. Salaries of government employees in Grade1-15 are increased by 15% , above grade 15 increase will be 10% while minimum pension will be Rs. 5000.

He also announced that Benazir Income Support Program will be introduced at the provincial level.
