Pakistan won first one day against Zimbabwe by 41 runs

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. The openers Mohammad Hafeez and Azhar Ali provided a solid partnership of 170 runs. Hafeez scored 86 and Azhar Ali 79. Next partnership was between one down Shoaib Malik and fourth batsman Harris Sohail. Shoaib scored 112 and Harris 89 taking the Pakistan total to 375 for 3 in allotted 50 overs. Zimbabwe bowling was lackluster with Upseya as most economical costing 63 runs in 10 over and claiming two wickets of openers Hafeez and Azhar Ali.

Zimbabwe was under pressure from the beginning of their innings and their first wicket fell at the score of 56. Their top scorer was Chigumbura with 117. Zimbabwe could only score 334 at the cost of five wickets and lost the match by 41 runs. The most economical bowler for Pakistan was Wahab Riaz with 47 runs and 3 wickets in 10 overs.
