Pakistan & India application to Nuclear Suppliers Group by Abdul Q Kundi

Nuclear Supplier Group (NSG) will be meeting on June 20th to consider Indian and Pakistani applications to join it. USA has already announced its support for India while China is opposing it. Pakistan has adopted the position that NSG should be non-discriminatory if they want to avoid arms race in South Asia. China and many other members of NSG support Pakistan’s position. I fully support the position of government of Pakistan and request other opposition leaders to announce their position so that a strong message is sent to the world community.

Parliament and Senate should adopt a joint resolution to convey that the whole nation is standing behind this national issue which is critical for regional peace and stability. I would like to request PTI MNAs, MPAs and senators to lead this effort. Overseas Pakistanis should also reach out to their senators and members of assembly to lobby for Pakistan.
