Resolution on 20th Youme Tasees of PTI by Abdul Q Kundi

On this auspicious occasion of 20th Youme Tasees of Pakistan Tehrike Insaf (PTI) we refer to our party constitution to reinstate our resolve to achieve the dream of a transformed Pakistan. The constitution of the party represents the ambition and passion of its members to strive for a Pakistan that is an egalitarian, modern, Islamic democratic welfare state which upholds the fundamental rights of the people in which all citizens, regardless of gender, caste, creed, sects or religion can live in peace, harmony and happiness; to eliminate nepotism and favoritism from the national life and to make merit an integral criterion in all walks of life.

We resolve to remember and honor all those party members that were beaten, arrested, and lost their lives in the struggle against the status quo forces in last 20 years. We respect all members that selflessly worked to spread the party all across the country by sacrificing their family and professional lives. We acknowledge the tireless efforts of the Chairman Imran Khan to help grow the party. We make a commitment to all of them that we will not allow status quo forces that have penetrated the party ranks to violate our party constitution, ideology and merit. We resolve to never allow cronyism, nepotism and maurosi siasat to become culture of the party.

We resolve to renew our commitment to the voters of Khyber Pakthunkhwa that we will deliver on all promises made to them by eradicating corruption; empower local government; hold cabinet members accountable, and offer functioning schools, hospitals and roads.

We resolve to ensure an empowered Ehtisab Commission is installed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We will strive to reinstall the Director General Ehtisab Commission that resigned in protest when amendments to the act were introduced in violation of normal practices and procedure.

We resolve to install an empowered and independent PTI Election Commission (EC), Election Tribunal (ET) and Standing Committee on Accountability and Discipline (SCAD) to start building a vibrant and effective PTI institution.

We resolve to strive for across the board accountability of all those named in Panama Papers to lay foundation of a Pakistan where all citizen pay their fair share of taxes and government resources are utilized to serve all citizens equitably.
